Quilt project

This week I put aside time to work on a personal project. If you haven't heard me talk about it already, I am working on my first handwoven quilt!

Today was cutting fabric and deciding on block layout. After much thought, I have decided on a very basic patch design. As I am almost completely "winging it" I thought it best to keep it as straightforward as possible. Plus, I have to serge every single raw edge and that adds on a lot time 😆

Next week on Youtube I'll be sharing part 1 of the process of ideas, weaving the fabric and preparing to sew.

I also share content on my Instagram and in my stories that you won't see elsewhere.

Have a joyous weekend!

Until next time...

Happy Weaving!

Hi Weavers! I ran some polls during the week on my Youtube community page. The questions were related to sewing with your handwoven fabric, and though I thought I knew you all pretty well, you surprised me with your answers! Most people voted that they want to sew with their handwoven fabric but don't because they are too scared to cut! After thinking about it for a while, I made a video with some advice for you: Some unconventional advice......
