The Weekend Edition - Warping is actually fun!
Hi Weavers! The newsletter is early this week as I have interstate trip coming up. Not all weavers would agree that warping is fun, but when I experience a warp that goes on like a hot knife through butter, I definitely deem that as fun! Thankfully most of my warps are like that nowadays (which is proof that practice gets the results!) but for those of you who are struggling along and not enjoying the warping step so much, I have a lot of helpful resources. I have a new video on Youtube this week that is a simple hack for warping: This video was filmed on my floor loom but the hack applies to any loom where you're using paper for warp separation. If you are interested in learning more about using warp separation with your rigid heddle loom, check out this tutorial. ****************************************************** NEW ON PROVIDENCE RIDGE I also have a new video on my second channel! Today I'm threading my floor loom and chatting about my future on Youtube and just sharing all the thoughts I've been having: **************************************************** ******************************************* FIRST LOOM GUIDE I have a brand new PDF guide for those looking to purchase their first or a new loom. I share my own experience in purchasing and using a variety of looms. Some (but not all) of the looms covered include inkle, rigid heddle, table and floor looms. For my mailing list friends (that's you!) I have a 10% discount link available until the end of this weekend: Guide to purchasing a loom... *Please note, the discount is ONLY available via this link. ************************************************** EXTRA WARPING RESOURCES Do I need to pack the front beam? Troubleshooting loose warp threads ************************************************* OCTOBER INKLE CHALLENGE The Inkle Challenge is running again due to popular demand! Yes, October is a little while away but will be here before we know it so I wanted to mention it ahead of time for those of you who may want to take part. Never heard of it? Read more about it here: ********************************************** Remember to follow me on Instagram! and tag me if you complete any of my classes or patterns - I will share them in my stories 😉 I also share content on my Instagram and in my stories that you won't see elsewhere.
Have a lovely weekend! Until next time... Happy Weaving! *This newsletter may contain affiliate links. For further information, please view my disclosure policy. |
